It is with great pleasure that Brentwood Estates Homeowners Association (BEHOA) welcomes you and your family to our beautiful neighborhood. One of the many advantages of our neighborhood is the peacefulness of our environment while being conveniently located. It is our hope that you have had a successful move and that you're starting to settle in.
BEHOA has an elected board of directors consisting of five members. They meet routinely and their purpose is to provide assistance to our neighbors.
You will have an opportunity to serve if you choose. Here are a few places we need help (the board of directors, welcoming committee, annual neighborhood picnic, landscape committee, Christmas committee, etc). Please submit a volunteer form if you would like to serve and we will get you started.
BEHOA has an Architectural Control Committee that offers oversight of new projects to our homes. These two groups provide guidance ensuring our neighborhood maintains its value and is a beautiful place to reside. They will also assist you in making certain your project is within our covenants.
Website -- You'll find a neighborhood directory (please contact the directory editor for the login and password), links to our Facebook page (look to the right on your screen), school info (Links menu), neighborhood events, copies of covenants and by-laws (Documents menu), and a variety of other good stuff.
Property Modifications: Everything you need to know right here. Planning on doing some building or alterations to your home or property? Remember that our HOA Covenants require you to have approval in writing by the Architectural Control Committee (ACC) prior to construction or such alteration. Please refer to Articles 6 and 8 of the Covenants for guidelines on what information is required so that the Architectural Control Committee can quickly give you a thumbs up.
According to Wikipedia, the area that makes up Keller actually was deeded by Tarrant County druggist, H.W. Wood on July 19, 1881 for a town to be known as Athol. Athol was one of many towns that were established along the new Texas and Pacific Railroad that started train service between Fort Worth and Texarkana on May 8, 1881. Within the first year the name of the town was changed from Athol to Keller, honoring John C. Keller, a foreman on the railroad.
H. W. Wood's initial deed was for 40 acres. Today, Keller encompasses 18.4 square miles and in 2009, Money Magazine ranked our city as the "7th Best Place to Live" in the United States.
The final plat for Brentwood Estates was approved by the Keller City Council on May 20, 1980. Our subdivision consists of 125 lots and the final plat was recorded at the Tarrant County Court House on June 21, 1984. According to the recorded plat, Robert Black was the owner of the land and the land developers were Wayne Lee and Steve Stringers. Although a number of homes were built in the late 1980's, the majority of the homes in our subdivision were built in the early 1990's.
